When I pick up my camera, I do it with purpose.
I am drawn to nonprofits, animal rescues, families, children, ranches, and causes that inspire connection and compassion. Through my lens, I strive to capture stories that bring a little more light into the world. If my photographs can help someone feel seen, remembered, or connected, then I have accomplished something meaningful.
My photography journey began with a simple desire: to preserve memories of my four sons. Through them, I discovered the beauty and importance of preserving life's fleeting moments.
In 2016, I learned just how meaningful a single photograph can be.
Before one of my sons' award ceremonies, I took a photograph of my four boys with their Nana—my mother. The following day, my mother died by suicide.
What I didn't know when I pressed the shutter was that I was capturing the last photograph they would ever take together.
That experience taught me that photographs are more than images. They are pieces of our stories, reminders of love and connection, and sometimes the only tangible link we have to a moment that can never be repeated.
Today, I approach every session with intention, gratitude, and deep respect for the stories entrusted to me.
Because photography is not just about documenting a moment. It is about preserving what matters most—before it becomes a memory.
